I think the thing that makes my brain want to rage the most is a group of people all put this new ui together and designed it and than presented it as the final look to the person or persons in charge of approving it and that person or persons looked at this version and went yes this is an improvement in every aspect and manner over the prior version it is approved and rolled it out. Like wtf is wrong with your eyes and perception.
and yes sadly this is an internet cliche of decades to make upgrades and ui to sites that is absolute ass and worse every time than the prior in what my friend calls reverse progress on sites. its odd it makes no sense but every website goes through it when it takes the awesome and over time makes it more and more corporate and shit looking.
