i have a vague idea what's going on since a lot of it can be absorbed through environmental stuff and all the ebin cool xd set pieces they make you play through, but a lot of it is just random shit. probably the best example was one time the DM was very proud to introduce an insane, abnormally colored gnome piloting a giant mechanical spider only for us to tell him there's a virtually identical boss in wow.

he even made a note that he didn't want to include the baby songs but felt he NEEDED to say that they're SO AWFUL as if they're melting his ears off, somehow getting worse, or are delaying comebacks as if most groups don't just sit with their thumb up their ass 2/3 of the year anyway
his own fault for making it a top 30. if i sat down and gave it a good think i could come up with 10 dogshit songs this year by groups that should no better/are popular despite putting out dogshit songs, but there's no way you can find 30 songs that are bad in a way worth mentioning
