It's not automatic though, you have to actually give it the correct perspective yourself. It's not perfect anyway so you'd just use it for a baseline and then make it look right by adding to it after. It's just a tool so I don't understand writing it off as doing the job for you when it's all digital anyway. Whether or not you make it a crutch and let it get in the way of developing artistically is up to you.
