I'm from the People's Republic of New Jersey and contracted Lyme in 2004 when I was around 12 years old. It was caught relatively early and it was cured with six months of doxycycline, which was worse than the disease honestly. Every time I took it there was a good chance I'd vomit, with and without food, but the doctor wouldn't give me anything else and instead gave me Zofran to stop the nausea. Despite catching it somewhat early, it did damage to my right knee and hip, but I can still walk and run at 90%. I have horrible sleeping problems though, which can be attributed to Lyme but probably other shit as well. I don't take any caffeine period, not even chocolate or tea. I literally cannot go to sleep without some kind of medication.
