But there was the other factor that drove one young man towards this route: Money.
The boy was 18 or 19 at the time and he told investigators that he was "going through a bad period" during a time where he had gotten caught up in a "long running" drug ring.
As you may recall, this group of teenagers -- some of whom were arrested this week and are facing charges including first degree murder -- also called it "The Jungle." As part of that gang, the boy met several people who went by the names of "Hooked Up" and "Ricky T," according to police.
