it's because it's a money laundering scheme. people steal credit cards, max them out buying steam games, then sell the games to the website for pennies on the dollar.

either way i still need to cobble together a backstory as to how he might've gotten this way, but i'm basically inverting every characteristic i can think to of my warlock in the other campaign. that means this guy has both the size and IQ of a boulder but doesn't really wanna hurt anyone so instead of actually fighting he just slaps on the heaviest armor he can find and stands around the front lines tanking hits and healing people. as you might expect he's quite selfless in general but a lot of that comes from just having a lot of self doubt issues so he more or less blindly trusts that as long as he does his best to prop others up they'll end up utilizing his skills.
