>>6633263The "real talk" is that though I sympathize with the bumpers, I'm just a disconnected poster. I'm not part of their secret discord or subreddit, if that's what they're using.
>>6633277You got me there, I pitch in because I'd rather see the good threads last as long as possible then have them get 404ed by a janny dabber or another retarded NPC thread that should have been deleted on the spot, and have newcomers get the idea that those threads are what /bant/ is about, leading to a cycle of shitposts until they reach critical mass and turn this board into an actual trashcan.
But the long-lasting threads are also the last point of connection between a bunch of good posters hightailing it out of there or not, and those posters far outvalue the posters that are mildly annoyed by the action in my opinion. Take the Daily Desu Threads as an example, when they died that was an instant drop of quality on the board that affected not just their local thread, but every thread. If you truly are a regular, you'd feel it too, every good poster that leaves, like a man getting alzheimers and gradually forgetting his identity.
I'm not a good poster. You can call me a shitty poster, but the people in the threads you attack are good posters, and I can live with being called a shitposter for their sake.
