Nature reserves need funding so they do guided trophy hunts to kill specific individuals. These hunts are tens of thousands of dollars, a lot of the time more. That funding goes back into the reserve.
Take for example the rhino that was shot a few years ago, he was a male past breeding age that was chasing off other
males and fucking the few females to death because he couldnt get them pregnant. So they put him up for a hunt.
