Most schools in my state force you to do 3-4 years of math when really most jobs will literally just tell you how to do the math or it's just arithmetics and algebra, or force 4 years of English when really all you need for 95% of jobs is to form sentences and paragraphs. It's just busywork for the sake of busywork and turning students into cogs of the machine.
