1. They're huge (not usually as big as pic related, but bigger than most), so they rarely surprise you, they just hang out, usually where you can see em.
2. They're not venomous to humans, so really no danger at all.
3. They don't spin webs, so they don't make a mess of the place.
4. They just hang out and eat all the other bugs that do make your life miserable.
Huntsman is a top tier pest controller. If you've got redbacks or some shit, you absolutely squash them or take them outside less you wake up with a limb rotting off, but if you've got a huntsman for a housemate you're set.
