>>18230927Sola's friendly, disarming nervousness oddly puts Andi at ease. She'd been feeling bad about her attempt at a night out going awry, and that itself had been brought on by the realization of her situation eating dinner over a gas station trashcan for the fourth time in ten days, but it's so nice to just talk to someone on the level, someone who maybe gets what you're going through a little.
>"Oh, wow, so us Dojo girls are up against both the Kade sisters, huh? I'd thought about asking for your help, but if you've got a match with Nikki, that's the big time. Her being the Intercontinental Champion, even if she's not puttin' the belt up..... you gotta focus on that."Andi relaxes and leans back against the seat. Though she's just met Sola, the few drinks in her system encourage her to open up to her.
>"This won't be my first match, just my first one here in the WWA. I wrestled some in California after I flunked outta pre-med, but it's pretty cutthroat over there, with a bunch of little companies that kept gettin' bought out, or going out of business. 'Course, I didn't make any money. I need a long-term contract to stay in the States, and I heard I could get signed here. And y'know, I'm feeling good, like maybe I'm actually gonna make it now!"Andi shrugs as the bus rolls to a stop.
>"And even if I don't, I guess somehow I'll make it anyway. I always do."Andi's smile slowly returns, as light and hopeful as before. She offers Sola a fist-bump as they disembark the bus.
>"Hey, Sola, for real: thanks for taking the time to chat with me, and listen to me babble. I was pretty down about how my night had gone, but I'm feeling better now. I gotta run and see if I can find Lillith. But I'll catch up with you soon!"She darts off into the Dojo at a tipsy canter, headed for the kitchen.
