According to this site on my computer, here in the midwest USA, the countdown ends at noon.
Now, from comments today, I get the impression that the countdown is NOT for noon for everyone, but the number of hours, minutes, seconds is the same for all. So it will happen all at once, but at different times for everyone.
That's important, because whatever happens, whoever is doing this has programmed the countdown for each individual person.
