It wasn't common at all, and nowadays the tranny pronoun is used for everyone, including people with known gender. It's clearly a social engineering campaign to dehumanize and collectivise individuals into genderless, soulless drones. I despise singular they/them, not only for what it stands for but also for ruining the english language - it kills its beauty and is confusing as fuck.
