>>16443369Let's track my friendship progress from birth to present:
>Birth->Preschool: Two friends, my parents knew their parents from church. Still remember hanging out with them even though I should be too young to remember. One of them had a Batmobile toy that was dope and we played with it a lot.>Elementary school: Lost touch with one of them, but the other was in my kindergarten class and we still hung out. Made three new "best friends" from 1st to 5th grades.>Middle school: Basically no friends anymore, just the girl across the street who moved in. During this period, we both hated each other but were forced to spend time together. No, we did not get married.>Junior high: Legit zero friends. Knew one guy I hung out with like twice, but that was it.>High school: youth group at my church, started making more and more friends. AIM came out, so it was easier to stay in touch with everyone frequently. Made my main core of bros here, the four of us.>College: All of us stayed home and commuted, still hung out a couple times a week.>Twenties: Same thing.>Late twenties: One of our friends had a string of awful luck and moved across the country, multiple times. Actually went missing for like six months and I hired a private investigator to find him. Found him, by the way. >Now, 34: Other two have also left, moved across the country. It's just me and the girl from across the street, who is now married with kids and who I hang out with all the time.Short answer: one friend I actually see. A few I occasionally text. That's it.
