>>9858741Reading more of it is difficult because, again, no real scripture and just doing stuff and word of mouth, many are doing it blindly and ignorantly in all the little rituals, all the words they use every day, even though the words are tied to heathenry even through language modernizations and reforms.
That said, Vare Tradisjoner/Our Traditions from Odelsarven.
Chernobogs Riddles from The World Tree (for Slavic stuff, but there's many a parralel)
And of course Vargs stuff is unironically good, even if the placenta stuff does sound like major cringe, but that's how it really was.
Just like how "lucky 13" (which is unlucky for christians) was rooted in a calendar modeled after the menstrual cycle of women, and the middle of each month was the lucky thirteenth day where you could impregnate the broad.
(I think that one was a Swedish calendar though but, again, much overlap)
It's just kinda funny in a sad way how prevalent many of these things are but nobody notices them because we just do things and say things.
But these things make the most sense in the context of the old heathen beliefs which still live on.
After all, unless someone is insane, they don't do anything 'randomly' everything has a reason, a purpose to be named something, to be used in some way, etc.
Christianity is realy a super thin vineer and even the most devout and pious (or who think themselves that) are more inundated in heathen stuff, through language alone, than Christian stuff.
