Mopить - to starve
Cмepть - death
Mopoз - frost
Notice the m•o/e•r root? And what picture it paints, of a frozen barren ocean that is equal to death and starvation? Only our language has the full meaning, other European language forgot the link (eg english), others have it but only parts (German Mord and Meer but Frost/kälte).
Now do you think the black sea is a cold barren place of starvation? Or the Mediterranean sea? Nope.
Such a place is only in the far north, northern than baltics, kolsky peninsula maybe. Russia. Our homeland.
