I make 95k and own a nice house in the rural area past the suburbs of one of the largest cities in the south east. My wife and I have had trouble conceiving for about 2 years. Two weeks ago she called me and insisted I come home a bit early from work early to surprise me with a positive pregnancy test. I am so happy I can't properly explain it. I am extremely excited to be a father and know my wife will be an amazing mother to our child.
My concern is, I am afraid of raising a child in this woke world. I see how my sisters and brother were ruined by this SJW infested politically correct ideology that is being taught in schools, especially universities. I work in manufacturing as a highly skilled agent in my field. Because I dropped out of college to work, I wasn't exposed to the same structured indoctrination my siblings were.
we were all raised in a traditional conservative manner. My father worked, and my mother stayed at home and raised us. My mother was an educated woman and a successful accountant for a large corporation. She left her company after having her first child to raise us properly.
I fear that the loss of my wife's income and my lack of a college degree will limit my future income. Ideally I would like to send my children to private school so I can free them from the contamination of public education and be involved in their curriculum. My wife has a graduate degree in the healthcare field and contributes about 78k to our household income. The loss of that income is worth it for her to be a stay at home mother and educate our children in the morals we live by and instill the values we hold as a family. However, the loss of income may change our ability to do so.
We are in a pickle. What does /pol/ think?
