Quality shows are harder to come across anywhere that isn't Netflix because corporates want a reliable marketable show that can be recycled as much as possible, ala Nick's Spongebob and CN's Teen Titans Go.
Alex made the right choice to put a sudden dead-end to Gravity Falls during Season 2B so the corporate shitbags at the top of Disney channel don't ruin his creation like they did with Phineas and Ferb. Sadly, I can't say the same for poor Craig's pic-related, it deserved a better ending.
