other than that, sticked around for another gungame and it was on terminal
it was fun but not really anything to talk about, not in a coherent way
so whatever
reason i went on about the steamroll games thing
you might actually not get to have that anymore in future multiplayer games
just look at the newest cod with its absolutely terrible skill-based matchmaking
if you know then you know
but basically theyre doing some really scummy shit to make every game play out evenly and give everybody a 1:1 kd
instead of getting into games with random people and the match playing out, its basically decided how well you and others are gonna do before and both while in-game (idk if its exactly confirmed yet but it seems pretty apparent, they buff and nerf you in-game depending on how good youre doing lol)
theyve had patents for these kinds of mechanics out for a while now, since the mw2019 released i think
the intent is to make sure that casual players can do well and anybody can kill anybody, to lower the skill gap as much as possible
its all so that the demographic that doesnt really give a shit about actually getting good at the game sticks around, if they keep getting an average experience then it means theyre more likely to buy skins and shit
so ya well maybe it doesnt seem too bad in the current age still
but imagine when they fully polish out this shit in a decade or so from now
right now theyre still just testing it out
playing these kinds of releases competitively and having dynamic matches of any kind might be impossible by then because the game can just control every single fucking thing that happens without you knowing, and no matter how good you get, you can still get destroyed by the person that the game took pity on
and so these kinds of steamrolls and matches where you get to play against better people, they might completely disappear from gaming at some point
which fucking suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks i hate these people
