for example, when the SPY P/E ratio is off the rails like it is today, maybe DCA into a cheaper index like small caps or international instead
every few months I just check which major equity indexes and potentially other categories (real estate/bonds/commodities/etc.) are historically cheaper and put it there
don't need to sell and constantly shuffle around, just buy low
