Some well-heeled do-gooders from horse country in Chester county donated some horses to the pavement apes. Philly has some of the largest urban parks in any city, so the horses are mainly ridden in fairmont park.
It was actually an effective way to teach the chimps some levels of basic responsibility, since the riding club won't let them ride unless the niglets show up to do chores, muck stables, and all the myriad of things that are required to care for our equine friends.
While I'm not fond of interloping do-gooders and their Albert Schweitzer daydreams, in this case there were actual positive results.
