All those of you who literally believe in the Bible should take the time to actually read it once. Because it contradicts itself in so many places that you can't enumerate all the contradictions. TL;DR? Just read the very first page, book of Genesis. You think the Earth was created in 7 days? Well both yes and no. Chapter 1 says it was, chapter 2 says it wasn't. And it goes on like this.
The truth of the matter is that the Bible is a collection of legends, stories and some extremely redacted historical accounts that were collected, edited as they were copied and copied again, and thus subject to many changes. If you read the texts in their most original form, you can see this quite clearly. Even the name of God varies throughout the text.
Use the Bible for inspiration. Use it as a cultural reference. But don't take it literally.
