>>13940747I wouldn't call it "beautiful", but I find Dutch to be oddly hypnotic as a native English speaker. Whenever I hear Dutch. my brain, for about two seconds, tries to recognize it and understand it as English. If I'm paying attention or if I know it's Dutch beforehand, it doesn't happen as much, but if I just hear Dutch being spoken out of nowhere, my brain WANTS to hear it as English.
It's a strange feeling, but I like it.
