When an order is "put on you" you are marked as on the road and out of the store. This means you are getting your on the road wage while still being on in the store. The managers do this to keep "out the door" times low because corporate has unrealistic expectation for times, and if you fail to meet them, you get punished.
When the rush ends and you have the chance to be in the store for more than 10 minutes, the manager sends you home. I get paid "in the store" wage probably 20 minutes per shift, even if I am in the store for an hour that shift.
