>>14063582Well the current wave of satanism can be traced to a sneaky pizza partier named james randi who was a professional debunker who promotes "skepticism" by, ironically, just always believing the experts and main stream explanation for everything. They tussled around with the flat earthers, ufo nuts, people who said a nwo was coming, and basically proto /pol/ in those days of the 1990s and early 2000s on usenet and in forums and such. This era set the stage and was fertile ground for what was to come. "God isn't real, you can't prove it." Sound pretty iron clad.
Then came second wave Internet atheism with bananaman and some other characters and grifters who themselves were either early streamers, or who ran their own forums on the side or whatever. They exhaustively worked through every existing argument against religion, while injecting a bunch of kooky leftoid proto-SJW garbage into their brainwashing videos. This is when le edgy internet satanism started. Before that it was pretty much confined to some big city goths, and actual generational satanists who btw exist but aren't really out there wearing baphomet tees at the wal mart.
Now it's edgy and triggering, like hahaa take that you christcucks! But if you think about it there's a laundry list of religions they don't shit on. Very interesting.
