>>16807153I had a dream just now. I have placed a curse upon myself. When horrible things happen. Someone has to go through them. Why not you? Why aren't you the one dying in Bakhmut? So I just felt the timeline shift just the right way for us to end up in a war and for my frail shut-in self to end up in that very predicament. My own mother felt it a fine thing (no idea where that comes from, she's of no Russian blood). Anyway, I was in some imaginary version of Bakhmut (something very makeshift and colorful like Fortnite or something), in my own polytheistic version of Youjo Senki. And this babushka comes in front of us, on top a hill. She just stares down on us. Obviously a spy with how close the enemy was. I was frustrated and anxious with no one doing anything about it, so I shot her in the leg, climbed the hill and dragged her down with me. The point is fearing your own incompetence is but half the problem. When other people add their own less then ideal expectations of themselves to the mix, it's really not worth doing anything.
