Would a total internet shutdown be inevitable at this point? This stuff is so dangerous that everyday there will be nutters making up fake threats of war and nukes, to the point that it’s impossible to discern if a threat is genuine or it’s AI. Surely a temporary major disruption with everything being forced to go back 30 years is preferable to the risk of provoking nuclear warfare daily, combined with an unstoppable progression of technology which we have basically no control over?
