>>13718467Why are you comparing a custom built Ford Mustang muscle with an electric vehicle that isn't a Mustang?
You can call your screwdriver a hammer. It makes no difference. No one is going to mistake your screwdriver for a hammer.
Ford decided to call their tesla-competitor a Mustang. It's not a Mustang. It's an electric vehicle. Ford is hoping to draw some attention to their new electric vehicle by giving it a familiar name. Even the name is somewhat not familiar. A Mustang is a Mustang. No one is going to think a Mustang Mach-E is a Mustang. And there will still be a 2022 Mustang, the kind we all know and love.
Ford is trying to carve out a piece of the electric vehicle market. Every car manufacturer is going to do something similar. Don't be surprised to see Chevy call an electric vehicle a Corvette E Series or some such dumb name. There will soon be several electric car models made by ever auto company, and they will be weird at first. The Mustang Mach E is weird.
