In Denmark and maybe other scandinavian countries, we have a special dish for Christmas called rice porridge. It's milk boiled with rice into a porridge. Then we add sugar cinnamon and butter. All our Christmas songs contains the dish and most Christmas elves are associated with eating it.
Then there's the dessert called "ris ala mande" (rice with almond). It's fucking awesome, it's basically the rice porridge with almonds and shit loads of sugar. The day after Christmas everyone rushes to the fridge to eat what's leftover from that.
Sounds nasty, but it's a part of the Christmas here.
