I wonder if anyone has ever bought that product because they saw a drawing of Suigintou holding it. It's not like some artist sat down one day and thought that they should draw her with that drink, no, it was commissioned by a company because they wanna somehow make money off you seeing it. If you figured that, there's no way that you would end up buying the product, because it's an obvious exploitation going off what you like, you should consider it an insult and refuse to give them the money that they want. It's just using your favorite character as a soulless marketing device.
You can still appreciate the art itself and everything, of course, and the person who drew it has no fault, in fact they did a great job there. I'm not immune to it myself, enjoying characters drawn having real world products that you personally like. The feeling you get afterwards that you should be having the same thing, as well. I don't think that it's not necessarily bad to indulge yourself in that, either.
My knack with it is that, somebody, somewhere, has most likely seen this, and then went and bought the product because of it. That's their tactics working, and, I don't like it. It feels wrong that she's being used like that. What do you think?
Anyway, besides that, I've never tried whatever Yakult is, so I couldn't say anything on it, but they definitely do have a weird looking cup for it. Why not just a carton? Although, making your product look different is a pretty good tactic to get ahead, I mean, just look at Pringles. So, can't blame them for that.
