Because USA is nothing more than a labor camp pretending to be a country. The dwellings are built this way because they're supposed to be temporary and the goy who occupies them has to pay the interest on the mortgage loan, after which the work dwelling disintegrates, needs to be demolished and a new work shack has to be built in its place. Americans don't even bother taking off their shoes when they walk in their work shacks: what's the point? It's a temporary dwelling anyway, they don't intend to stay there long term and it's going to be knocked down in a few years anyway. This sort of mentality makes sense once you remember it was the bottom layers of european society who migrated there in the 19th and early 20th century. Criminals, conmen, fraudsters, prostitutes etc. People who didn't have anything to lose in life anymore and could potentially gain something by going to a weird disease and barbarian-ridden lawless lands. Read up on the gold rushes and compare this phenomenon to any kind of meme stock like nvidia or apple. That's the essence of America.
