>>22713264>also according to Greek Mythology, Phoenicia was founded by Phoenix, son of Agenor and grandson of Poseidon and LibyaI forgot to mention that he was Danaus' nephew.
Alcmene, mother of Heracles, was a granddaughter of Perseus, the founder of Mycenae, and thus part of the Mycenaean royal line, which was clearly Achaean. She was born either in Mycenae or in Tiryns, both important cities of the Achaean-dominated Mycenaean world. Her husband, Amphitryon, was of Achaean origin too. Also known as Danaans, the Achaeans descended from Achaeus, son of Xuthus and grandson of Hellen, son of Deucalion and grandson of Prometheus. Mythically, they are also associated with Danaus, the king of Argos, son of Egyptian King Belus and grandson of Poseidon and Libya.
This is curious because Poseidon was the deity with the most offerings found during Homeric Mycenaean times and it seems to be connected to Atlantis since Poseidon, Atlas (Poseidon's son who has the same name as Prometheus' brother), Egypt, Libya are mentioned by Plato when he talks about Atlantis and Danaans, Danaus and Danae (mother of Perseus) seem to be related to the PIE goddess/group of water deities, *Deh2nu, opposed to the gods or heroes related to *h2ner "virile strength, man", with connections to the names of rivers like the Danube, Don, Dnieper, and Dniester, as well as the Vedic deity Danu (mother of the Danavas, a race of Asuras of which the serpent Vritra, Indra's adversary, was a part), the Irish Danu and the Welsh Don.
