The heart of Christ was hidden from me in the world even though I grew up in the so-called "christian" sphere and was a very curious person. I really understood NOTHING of the Father until I was saved and reborn about three years ago. Nor was my salvation because of anything particularly labelled Christian.
But to be fair, even to this day I haven't read any fiction written by a professing Christian except for I guess two of the Narnia books.
