>>8926902>maybe we ought to euthanize old people?Well it should certainly be an option for them. Whether we should fund their aged care pensions is another question though, that is literally the Australian government's biggest expense iirc. Making the shift towards autonomy in that regard was a good move.
>maybe we should stop giving aid to africa to stop the exponential population growth. We don't give much aid anyway. We give a token amount. I'm okay with helping them though, so long as it's done intelligently and facilitates their own economic growth rather than just saying 'HERE HAVE SOME CLOTHES' and then put all the local clothes makers out of business. I'm yet to be convinced that overpopulation is even a problem so I can't get on the low-key genocide train. Like sure we'll run out of resources but that'll just allow market forces to kick in, rare things will become more valuable and we'll start using different materials. All going well we'll become a multi-planet species before earth completely eats shit. Then there will be nothing stopping us on our universal quest for consumption and inevitable destruction. Hopefully we get better at it over time tho.
>maybe the world ending is a good thing?Ultimately there are no good or bad things, only things. I am a human so I am on the side of humanity. I was born into this nonsense so I'll fight for the team. Why not, right?
