I babylonian religion, the Dragon is considered creator, but the gods are the guys who rebelled, christianity is a later iteration of the religion, where the Dragon is no longer creator, and is still the enemy, this makes me thing there was a previous religion where the Dragon was god, and the rebellion was the satanic force.
