“Yes, since last night,” the henchman replies.
Cassie smiles. “Then I’m sure you must have found out plenty about Lexi. I’d be very disappointed if you haven’t. So tell me, what’s her secret?”
The man swallows uncomfortably. “Well, it was 10:30PM when I started monitoring her. In the club, right after you two parted. She spent the next hour or so on the dance floor, just mingling with people. Seemed totally normal.”
“Go on,” Cassie mutters, her voice tinged with impatience.
“Well then after that she went to the bar. Spent a lot of time talking to the staff. I figure there was nothing suspicious about that since you offered her a bartending job. Makes sense she’d take an interest,” he continues.
“None of this is any use to me,” Cassie says.
“But boss, you said you wanted to know every single thing she did. You said those exact words last night, Miss Kade,” he insists.
“Just speed it up.”
“Right so some lads started talking to her at the bar. One in particular she spent a lot of time with. Real jacked up dude. Then she went up to the Angel Lounge until around 3AM. Has a real way with people that girl, she had the lads crowding around her when she got on one of those stripper poles your sister and her friend had installed.”
Cassie rolls her eyes.
The henchman continues. “At around 3:30AM the jacked up guy she was talking to at the bar shows up at the Angel lounge. He buys some of those Obsidian Rush pills from one of our dealers, and they leave together soon after.”
Cassie’s eyes narrow and she leans forward in her chair. “Did you get a good look at this man? Would you be able to identify him on security footage? He needs to be checked against our database of known operatives from rival organisations. I swear, if Lexi is working for one of my enemies she’s de-”
