That puts her back a little bit; granted, she's from rural Arkansas where guns are commonplace, including her own father's collection of firearms, and given the types of things she's heard about happening in the Dojo before she got here, Carmody supposes she can't blame her for being cautious and carrying a gun to protect herself.
What just happened is still weird as hell.
