And start learning as much first order sources as possible, that’s brought me closest to them. Start reading every translation of the Iliad and the Odyssey you can get. Don’t trust anything written after about 400 AD, and prefer things written before 300 BC.
You’re right about Hellenic worship is less “larp-y”, there’s tones of source material, by and for true believers of the Gods. Norse, unfortunately, has very little to none.
