I'm looking into getting a motorcycle. Near impossible to find a manual car in my area for the cheap in my area. And there also isn't anywhere for me to park another car. Even though all the gear is kind of expensive (Helmet, gloves, boots, armor inserts, jackets adds up very quickly) and the certification in my state cost a lot. The motorcycle itself is pretty cheap. And most of it is cheap enough to do yourself. Getting an old manual car, fixing it up and then trying to bolt on modifications is much more expensive.
