It's just if they had the leisure time and were healthy it would be something rewarding, enriching, or at least not harmful. Our fathers and their fathers might read pulp novels, comic books or fiction, might collect baseball cards, artifacts, stamps, cars. Not with this Jewish obsession of $$$$$$ ONLY DO HOBBIES WHICH ENRICH YOU FINANCIALLY ONLY DO HOBBIES YOU CAN MARKET, but hobbies that didn't break the bank.
It's not an issue of
"He could be making more money/doing more chores/more labor"
It's an issue of
"He could be doing a lot more entertaining, rewarding and not harmful activities" - civ 5 like you said or any other video game that isn't such a gambling mess.
