If I had to guess, it begins with acoustic, then slowly builds into that middle (which scared the shit out of me by the way) which... I get the sense from the sheer dissonance of the middle that the entire chemistry of the band is thrown off without him there. So much so that its disturbing. But as the song progresses and the notes begin to form again, maybe there's a certain type of healing over time? As if, even though that hole is never going to be filled (that dissonance persists until the switch back into acoustic), its slowly finding a way to keep moving and rebuild itself back up into something that will never be the same but still has a voice. Like it was rendered speechless by the tragedy but is slowly finding its words.
