Most of the Russian "casualties" are actually Ukrainian soldiers wearing Russian uniforms. The evacuation of Kherson was actually an insanely clever move from the Russians, they are doing just like the Soviets in 1945, the hohols will freeze and the red army will come back since they have a combat bonus in snow (just like in HOI4)
