You can see this in physics when human decisions and observation collapse quantum states. The universe exists in a quantum state until human beings determine the form it will take. However, in order to have us be creators in this way, we must also have free will. Otherwise, it's still just God creating things by proxy.
This is why sin and evil is a human invention and has nothing to do with God. We choose to create sin and curse the world, when we could choose not to instead. Adam could've chosen to keep creating good but it was when he chose to bring evil into the world that he corrupted it.
