Btw the scientific field does really suffer from a lack of imagination and missing the ability to perceive complex systems as one single picture. Why nobody ever bothered to explain why tetanus toxin paralyzes human nerves (defense mechanism against amoebae, paralyzes food particle ingestion, accidentally also paralyzses neuroreceptor shuttling as both mechanisms are derived from the same principle) ... or why humans get cancer with metastasis (cell fusion events faciliated by proteins like syncytins, see my prior HERV post) ... ah well, at least we got hot lab assistants these days ...
