Hitler admired Arabs and Muslim people, and sought alliances with them. The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem actively recruited Muslims for several Islamic volunteer divisions of the SS.
Hitler is quoted as praising Islam, and saying that he would have preferred if Charles Martel had failed, and Islam had taken over Europe, because their more militaristic culture would have pushed Germans to be expansionistic earlier.
