As for the Edomites, there are many theories as to who they are but they lived very close to both the jews and phoenicians (pic related) and the phoenicians were definitely related to the Carthaginians.
The Nabateans are the key to the identity of the Edomites. The city of Petra was in Edom, and was the capital of a Nabatean kingdom. The Nabateans were almost certainly Arab, which means that the Arabs are the Edomites.
Nabateans, Carthaginians, jews and Phoenicians were all Baal worshippers, which is another important link between them.
