>>20839934I've been practicing martial arts for my whole life. What do you mean OP?
I started play fighting with my childhood buddies using corn stalks as swords.
I learned some high schoolwrestling, which was a big deal in my area, the wrestling team was full of legit killers.
I started getting into karate really big as a teenager and I had friends who were blackbelts who taught me moves.
Later in college I got into ninjutsu which branches off of karate, but has more acrobatics and ranged weapons (throwing shuriken is super fun.) and it's more like special forces kind of martial arts if you are serious about it.
But I also did some backyard boxing with friends way above my weight class. Boxing is huge in the USA, we love our celebrity boxers like Mike Tyson. He could eat a plate of human ears and I'd still cheer for Mike.
These days I get into a lot of low intensity shaolin kung fu chi gong, or the internal energy work of mo pai nei kung. Dragonball Z shit. My power level is very high.
To say the USA has no martial arts is foolish. We are the melting pot. We take all the best martial arts and combine them into our mixed-martial arts ethos.
