In every way we've set ourselves up for only instant gratification. Get the "perfect" thing you want right now. Nobody is really thinking long term. They don't realize that people age and that all beauty fades in time. No one is safe from the ravages of time but they're lost in the idea that they'll be young forever. My other concern is if these people even have a right to be shallow. They whine about being lonely and being virgins yet they're out there being judgmental of physical appearance. Pretty sure none of them are prince charles in the looks department either so their wide eyed dreams of a perfect anime girl will just be that. Dreams. I'm a realist. I love people for who they are. Much like my ex. I fell in love with who he was before I knew what he looked like. When I found out how he looked I didn't really care.
