Started growing food 2 years ago and getting better at it. Ended up with an excess last year so learning to can and preserve this year.
Also started to explore farm shops in my area and found a pretty sweet one where they butcher their own meat, grow their own fruit and veg, make theirnown cheese etc. The food is about the same price as the supermarket (some is cheaper some is more expensive) the difference I'm quality is astronomical and there food is simple and honest. (The plum jam I bought has literally 2 ingredients, plums and sugar). I have an egg guy and milk guy too now.
I'm going to see if i can minimise shopping at supermarkets this year. They rip off farmers and then rip you off afterwards. Let's cut out the middlemen!
