Although what a whole lot of people do is dislike the userbase such as you do, but they still keep themselves confined here rather than simply leaving for a while. Just endless complaining and not even enjoying your time being here. Really, why even stay at that point? From my experience, it seems pretty rampant around this place. I guess it's what it is, maybe some people just have fun complaining, it is kind of human nature.
I'd agree that /bant/ is the most unique also, but again because of how the board operates rather than the userbase. It's, for the larger lart, just your typical mob of people with zero personality trying to get one snarky inflammatory response over the others trying to do the same. That part just isn't interesting, at least not to me. The leniency you'll see here with the things that'll get you banned altogether from other boards is what's nice, combined with it's really moderate speed. Although that's just about all it has going for it, and you'll get burned out as you have. There are people worth interacting with still, but it seems far and wide between the garbage you dig through.
Overall, it's not the best place, but it definitely is the best place as far as this site goes.
